Universal Waste Systems Inc. (UWS) is pleased to have been given the opportunity to be the exclusive provider of waste management services in the City of South Gate.
As part of new trash services beginning January 1, 2023, residents with cart service will receive new carts starting November 14th through December 31st, existing service carts will be exchanged.

Residential customers get 10 items picked up per month and Multi-family households get 10 items per month per unit.

Place bins at the curb by 7am. Collections times are from 7am – 6pm.
Residential and Multi-Family receive 4 free bulky pickups per year with 4 items per pickup. After the 4th free there will be a charge of $45.00 per pickup. Commercial customers receive unlimited pickups per year at the rate of $35.00 per item. Call customer service at 562-334-3660 or email SGCustomerService@uwscompany.com to schedule a pick up. We will need a list of the items when scheduling the pickup.
Yes, organics can go in plastic bags and be put in the grey trash cart.
